Dan’s well-rounded experience in all areas of finance and accounting gives him the experience base needed to plan and implement most any finance or ERP system as well as manage any associated finance process re-engineering efforts. Dan has been involved in global finance system implementation at a Fortune 5 company as well as multiple ERP implementation efforts at smaller startups.

Key Finance Metrics Development.
Dan is particularly good at distilling key metrics for businesses given his experience across a wide variety of industries. Often entrepreneurs and business leaders are uncomfortable interpreting Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements, but they all understand hitting targets. Dan excels in creating the accounting and financial processes needed to produce the required Dashboard Reporting (different ones for different functions and levels) that executives use to practically optimize performance. Over time, Dan has discovered that these efforts typically build trust and enable functional leaders to effectively capture improved business value.

Mergers & Acquisitions.
Dan has managed nearly a hundred different potential M&A deals (mostly buy-side, but also some sell-side) and closed about a dozen different deals with total purchase values exceeding $1B. For most deals, he led the acquisition team as the finance leader and managed all processes including deal funnel management, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, closing, purchase accounting and integrations.
